Started to hear scratching...

This is really bothering me, the amount of rubbish in the local area has increased, alongside the visible drug selling and taking.
Because of this I'm hearing scratching in the early hours of the night.
It's now 3.32am and they're at it again on the flat roof above me.
I think they've broken a barrier because my living room light fitting has stopped working properly.
And it coincides with the first sound of scratching last week Tuesday...
Grrr... This bull again!

When we lived in a two-story farmhouse my uncle heard scratching. I didn’t hear it but he was sensitive to sounds. It was coming from upstairs. He took his shotgun with him & shot a rat that was in the unfinished attic part of the 2nd floor. It was huge. That was the only time we heard it and have no idea how it got up there. Need to put some bait up on the roof if that’s where it’s coming from or rat traps.
