What am I allowed to inform him?

I am about to go to a 24 hour emergency room because I started getting bleeding after a day full of cramps and feeling sick to my stomach. I am 6 weeks pregnant and the father of the child is not around. He never checks up or anything. I am always the one to message him like "going to a doctors appointment Tuesday" and he simply says good luck. I feel like he does not care most of the time and I am unsure what I should tell him. Should I inform him that I am going to the hospital?
