My recent trip to the BMV

went to the BMV a couplevdays ago because my DL expired two years ago, and everythingbwent smoothly. First, I had tontake the written test, and I passed. Then I was off to get a new DL. They say you need to have your socialbsecurity card, birth certificate, two recent pieces of mail (pastv60 days), no hand written addresses accepted. The lady asked a bunch of standard questions which I answered affirmative to. She asked to see my expired licens, my Soc. Card, two pieces of mail. I accidentally brought one piece of mail that had been hand written, and she let that slide. She didn't even ask to see my birth certificate. We concluded matters, she gave me paper proof of my new license, said it would arrive in the mail in two weeks, and that was it.

Happy, happy joy ,joy.

I always inform anyone who wants to see my Social Security card I only use it for matters involving Social Security. It is not a form of universal ID. They can have my photo ID for that. Social Security gets hacked.
