Have you ever gone to a turkey ranch to buy your Thanksgiving turkey 'live'?

On my parent's vegetable farm, my Dad always raised turkeys for his customers at Thanksgiving. My job as a tall and skinny teenaged athlete was to catch the turkey a customer desired from a dozen or more they could see running around in a fenced-off outdoor giant pen area. They were called 'free range' organically fed turkeys.
