Every year I get excited to have Thanksgiving at my house
But by the end of the day I'm like.. eat your pie and get the fuck out of my house.

preparation is a pain. Plus after it is over and we are tired, we have to clean up which is a pain. putting away leftovers that will get tossed in a week, trying to pick the turkey clean, several loads of dishes, etc.
And if one is REALLY lucky, gotta get up first thing the next morning for work. For black Friday.
I have done thanksgiving at my place a few times in years passed, heck with that.
One year my room mate and I went to Denny's and called it a day.
One year it was just us so we set up a mostly-traditional feast except instead of turkey, we used skinless boneless chicken thighs. Hey it worked excellent, tasted better, no carcass to deal with.
