Should we aim for our lives be full of Thanksgiving or should we shoot for thanks AND giving?

There are certainly things I'm thankful for andvthings done to help others. Things like distance, schedule conflicts, family conflicts and passing of my grandparent's generation have ended extended family holiday gatherings. Smaller, more fragmented ones are now the norm. Even those are a bigger challenge to get every one at the same time.

Reality in my life anyway.

@BrandNewMan I understand. Seems celebrations are much the same here. Scheduling rarely allows everyone to be together at the same time. And with the older generations gone, the family "glue" seems to be gone as well. We rarely see anyone beyond our immediate family. It's honestly a great loss and I miss the closeness with the extended family I had when I was a kid.
