I Love Thanksgiving - Happy Thanksgiving Canada

Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday. It is colourful with the fall foliage, earthy with the harvest and decorations, and cozy with the weather more crisp.

Preparing and cooking the turkey dinner is almost a ritual for me; I love it. I can't wait the eat and drink some rich ales.

I also love that it doesn't have all the stress and expectations of gifts and visiting that Christmas entails (at least for my family).

Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

I love it also. It's the harvest season...fresh apples, craft beers, turkey, pumpkin pie , the smell of the turkey in the oven, being with family and friends and much more....but the colors are breathtaking.

@caesar7 Oh man what a pic! Yes I love the smell of turkey in the oven. My plan this year is to put the turkey in and then go for a bike ride on a nature trail and when I come back the house is going to smell like turkey.

@JimboSaturn Perfect!!!!!! That's what you see along the shoreline at the cottage. I sit at the dock with a cup of coffee and just amazed by the beauty.

@caesar7 Awesome, I'm jealous! Reminds me of the Gatineau's close to where I grew up in Ottawa.

@JimboSaturn Yes, I know exactly where...it is the place to be in the fall....

Cycling would be awesome in Gatineau park...going by Mackenzie-King's estate etc....damn...wish I was there now. We usually are as my family is east of Ottawa. Fall is beautiful in that area. Full of corn fields, fall colors, people decorate for the season...fresh cool air...just beautiful.
