Apparently Thanksgiving is "a day of mourning" for us Native Americans

Lol, okay! Meanwhile, my tribe will be hosting an epic Thanksgiving potluck at our community center tomorrow. But you have fun with the mourning business and being offended on our behalf.
That was never my experience from the Native friends that I had either. And they were part of AIM, so if anybody cared… it would have been them. They didn’t.
@JustGoneNow Look at this stupid article:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/11/23/how-native-americans-spend-thanksgiving/8628270002/

"Thanksgiving represents the dark shadow of genocide and the resilience of Native people." Lmfao! Are you kidding me??? That one Wampanoag man needs to speak for himself. He should be ashamed for reinforcing this idea about Thanksgiving that simply isn't true!
@PerchingDove Reporters: "There's lots of diversity in white opinions, but of course any 'minority' speaks for all."

You don’t fear the turkey uprising of the gobble-gobble rebellion!? 👀
I make a mean potato salad. Can I come?
@Mamapolo2016 The whole community is invited, not just tribal members.
@PerchingDove Thank you!
