First Official St. Patrick's Day...

Okay, so last fall I decided to take one of those DNA tests just for grins.

My entire life I was raised to believe we were German, and my family was very proud of this heritage.

The results came back after a few weeks, and I find that I am only 12% German. The real shock was that I am actually 56% Irish!

This Sunday is St. Patrick's Day, and I realized I have never actually ever celebrated it before. I feel I've missed out.

Is the holiday really that big of a deal in Ireland?

All those DNA test have struggles in certain areas, and I can't remember which one it is (I think the one with a similar commercial as yours about not being German), it actually struggles more with identification of German as it was many little Nations in which had different communications and relationship with different countries.

Meaning they could mis-identify people from that area as coming from elsewhere even though they were there.

Also to my surprise one of them struggles a lot with Native Americans for some reason.
