Saturday Update

@FreeSpirit1 fell down the steps fractured my hip. have some new hardware, a plate and pin

This was 2018 for me. Recovery was 3 months.

@TexChik yesterday lost a heel coming down the stairs

@saragoodtimes Was Alan home or did you have to crawl out of that yourself?

@TexChik had my phone or may have laid there until he got home

@saragoodtimes So you got an ambulance ride and a bunch of xrays. Not my idea of fun. I am so happy you are all fixed up and healing.

@TexChik the ambulance wasn't as comfortable as my car but the responders were terrific

@saragoodtimes I dont imagine sitting in your car would have felt too grand with a broken hip.

@TexChik won't be sitting in it for a few months anyway

@saragoodtimes Bless your heart. Are you moving from the hospital to a rehab facility before going home?

@saragoodtimes How is the pain? Manageable?

@TexChik a morphine drip works well

@TexChik hope pain meds aren't long

@saragoodtimes Maybe they can get you switched to Toradol after a few days. There is also an ice water pump device that can keep your hip cold and pain-free. They used it on hip and knee replacement patients to keep their med loads down.

@TexChik Tylenol with codeine would be nice if it works

@saragoodtimes Narcotics long term will plug you up!
