Once upon a Saturday
The furnace quit
I'm mightily tempted to get Harakiri, and am intrigued by the differences in the Eureka and Criterion editions
Criterion has a clearer image, but crops the image ever so slightly, mainly on the left side of the image. I would still go with Criterion as it also has more special features.
I had a late start today and haven't been able to complete a film in the dark, the current film is Kuroneko, it's to me more immediately pleasing than Onibaba, less claustrophobic.
I might follow it up with Police Tactics by Kinji Fukusaku, as those movies play better in the muted glare of the daylight which is minimized by curtains.
Hope y'all are having a good weekend!! :)
