Before my mother and I had a falling out (she's 90) about every other Saturday morning we would go to for breakfast at Perkins and stop at Taco Bell (and later Starbucks for me) and go to the mall. it was her way of "getting out". I went along as she has no one else. Neither do I.
Now screw it. She's on her own and so am I but I'm a big girl. I could get social security now if I wanted it.
Besides those sit down restaurants-and the mall-are closed.
@Stereoguy She can't accept me. To her I'm just a 12 year old little boy. I'm not even male-not anymore. And that has been for 8 years!
I don;t look (then 62) and I :M NOT DRESSING as a 62 year old woman. I am NOT in ENGLAND where they demean you if you do not dress your age! I have my own style.
She judges me as if I were a 16 year old girl dressing to slutty for 10th grade. Fuck that! I'm ALMOST 4 TIMES 16!!!!
We last went in January on a 53 degree day. That is very warm for South Western PA! I dressed FOR the weather. I wore a blouse with spaghetti straps and a skirt with a cardigan sweater. She believes NO SHOULDERS should be seen. Get the fuck out of here!!!
It got hot in the restaurant and I took my sweater off. The look of disgust came over her face.
In the car as we drove to the mall, across the street, she said that "if i can't dress for my age, the season and the occasion then this is the last shopping trip". She SCREAMED THIS AT ME. It was abusive!
I told her to enjoy it as I'll never go shopping with you again. Ever.
Weeks later she wanted forgiven- I told her there was no way as I tired of that as she never learns and that would be just be validating her that she was right and she was VERY WRONG!
And no I'm not "cutting her a break as she is 90" She was fucking 81 when she learned of this!!!!
@Stereoguy My ex left me 8 years ago, When my mother dies I have no one. My children but they have their own lives.I'm an only child. Isolation I'm used to.
