@HumanEarth Have had enough heat and high electric bills. They are robbing us here in Oklahoma. I won’t even complain when it gets cold. That means I can walk outside in my back yard without having to worry about rattlesnakes in the lawn. One of my neighbors moved this month. A friend told me that he moved because of all the mice and rattlesnakes in his house. They had to tear out the Sheetrock to capture the rattlesnakes hiding in the walls. He was a hoarder, his home was a haven to mice & snakes. I’ve have always been aware that snakes can be hiding under things in the yard or crawling around day or night or in the landscaping. But this takes my caution right up to near paranoia. That house is only 3 houses down from mine.

@HumanEarth We got a new corporation commissioner in Oklahoma right before we had a massive ice storm. That gave the electric companies and the new commissioner an excuse to being tacking on surcharges and fees that will last for decades. They have not stopped since that ice storm a few years ago. One cold front which wasn’t even long-lasting or severe and they used it as an excuse to tack on more surcharges. I believe most of it is corruption. Oklahoma is inviting the tech industry to move here to host cloud centers or whatever they are called. They will use a massive amount of electricity to cool those centers. And that means they’ll need at least one new power plant in order to have enough electricity to do it. So the residents of Oklahoma are going to pay out the butt for 20 years in the name of an ice storm. Including any residents that have relocated here after that ice storm.

They are trying similar garbage here. I'm always working on ideas and ways to pull stuff off the electric grid.
As I getting older my income seems to be getting smaller, but prices get higher and higher. So I'm always looking for alternative ways to save on electricity

@HumanEarth Oh yeah I hit this one on the head. Someone on Facebook posted this today. I knew there was a connection. And they are deceiving the residents by using any little winter storm as an excuse to keep raising the rates.

Its actually cheaper now to produce electricity today then it did 20 years ago. I mean a lot less, but greed won't let them lower the cost.
Other countries have much lower rates the USA for the same usage.
Go figure why the USA is paying more than any other country in the world for electric
