🍂🍁 October photo challenge 🍁🍂 18th October 2022

When I was a child
My mum made a game
We’d collect the spider webs
From the bushes and gates
We get two sticks
Shaped like a V
And who collected the most
The winner would be
It’s only just dawned on me
Now I am grown
It must have pissed off the spiders
When we destroyed their home 😅

@KiwiBird 😯 does Australia have the worst spiders?
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Yulianna A few nasties yes. The big ugly ones like Huntsman aren't poisonous they just bite but plenty of poisonous ones as well. They don't worry me. Snakes are scarier....I think about 7 out of the worlds 10's most deadliest.

@KiwiBird 🇺🇦❤🇳🇿 nice...

@Yulianna NZ on the other hand. No snakes, one rare poisonous spider and apart from a bat no mammals. Hence a lot of ground birds.

@KiwiBird sheep and humans?
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Yulianna They came later. While Australia was one of the first countries inhabited by man some 70-80,000 years ago...Aotearoa was one of the last. Māori only arrived around 1250. (772 years) Abel Tasman named it Nieuw Zeeland in 1642 and Cook Anglicised it to New Zealand in 1769. The English introduced sheep, rabbits, stoats, weasels white fellas, rugby and disease.
