I have to share my personal reading challenge for November with you all

And then by the end of November i'll come back here today either

Yay I did it

or at least I got past half way for all of them.

So what goes into this is a massive psychological sense of needing to finish books, that baseline of accomplishment I need like air.

Completing reading goals will strengthen my general resolve capacity levels to accomplish more down to earth accomplishment goals, which will be the only thing recognized by those who know me.

I talk way too much about books, and the difference between that and finishing them is so disproportionate it is a major source of the inner anxiety.

Speaking about anxiety, there's another thing I definitely don't want to get into directly, that contributes to that not quite sane feeling.

These 5 mega novels are the ones I must attempt to complete in 28 days

1. Les Miserables
2. War and Peace -- these 2 that are listed first are rendered quite easy when compared with the density and experimentation of the remaining 3.
3. Gravity's Rainbow
4. Infinite Jest
5. Europe Central -- I returned for refund Vollmann's most recent 4 volume Monsterpiece, and when I complete these 5 at the end of November I can get it then, and only then.

Let's say all together there 5,000 pages here, that means my daily average has to be somewhere around 150 pages, but as i'm reading on my precious Kindle Paperwhite we could say that I should be aiming at an average of 2 hours each per day of a total of 10 hours per day all together.

That leaves 14 hours per day for sleep and doing what I should be doing, the sorts of stuff people in my life couldn't care less about literature.

I am essentially a ghost here, no reason to be here,my whole life to me that is is to be about escaping into the greatest books, checking off at least 200 for the next 2 years or so, and then assuming I can still be doing it 2030 onwards for the rest of my life an average of about 100 great books a year, with periodical updates on Similar Worlds where my sporadic and selfish activity will not cause a single soul here to bat an eyelash, it would merely be like the distant rumbling thunder if this SW was like a group of people hanging out in the desert plains of Utah.

Good luck on that monstrous task. Every time I start a book it takes me months or years to finish it. A couple weeks if I'm real determined.

@caPnAhab Thanks!! Yeah even big time readers like Chris aka Leaf By Leaf takes a whole month to just read one of the 5 i'm attempting!! It'll become by the end of the year if need be. Cheers m'friend!! ✌☺
