This is going to be a bad monday

At 4 am I hear a boom and then water hitting a wall I jump up and the hot water tank explode. I run grab a wrench and shut water valve off and nothing water still squirting i get a skrew driver and assorted sockets and take outside panel off to hot water tank. And shut that valve off. It finally stops

Your landlord will have to get a plumber to replace your water heater.
Those things can be expensive, so you've better tell him, if you haven't already.
