Monday, the fifteenth of August twenty twenty two

Almost the hour of the wolf now here, and am really liking the short sections in India's longest epic, which is longest all over of it's kind. That Oppenheimer dude who did the big bomb quoted it, hinting that it was the first time in modernity, meaning way back then there were similar kinds of advancements.

There is much to help get psyched up for these texts, in one part it said that those who read will have what they did wrong before forgiven, i couldn't help thinking that over the ages guys would be doing dastardly things and thinking, well i'll just read some of that epic after and all will be ok.

Vollmann and Hamsun are the guys on the way through mail, but it's weird how things happen, one night i'm on cloud 9 reading deeply a modernist text, then the next night, i'm diving into the East.

The East has always been of interest, but for a long time i've made myself think the West was the best like when Jim Morrison sings it in a live version of The End. But when my recent proclivities went toward the difficult, i then placed myself as open to the other kind of difficult that the East for me represents.

How it all fits together will be one of my ultra high points in this overall adventure of learning.
