London. Big Ben to remain silent for the next four years !!

BBC news is reporting that the clock needs to be silenced as essential repair work is carried out on the tower.
The bell that sounds the hour (big Ben) has been in action for most of the last 157 years.
It will make it's final chimes at mid-day on Monday and will not chime again until repairs are completed. Although it WILL chime for Remembrance Sunday(Sunday 12th November) And Midnight New Years Eve.

Many of the Members of parliament who sit in the chamber say that the place is falling to bits !
Lots of repair work to do all over the place.
So i guess they're starting with the bit that makes London easily recognizable.

@Picklebobble2 Sounds like the White House, which Trumpski says is a dump. I've heard it's full of rats, not all of them the two-legged kind.
