people absolutely lost their minds over the 4th of July this year

They even closed a county office on July 4th eve, July 3rd, and some businesses aren't even open today on July 5th.

People acting like we just defeated the British Monarchy last night.

I don't see what the big deal is. Some fireworks and just usual Saturday bullshit you can do every weekend.

I work for the state of Florida - we got the 2nd and 3rd - and will be off tomorrow as well.

I mean it's nice to be off - but we aren't service our residents and I'll still have to do the work I couldn't do for three days.
