How did River do with the fireworks? I had to deal with the opposite last night - our town was shooting off fireworks and my Dad couldn't hear them inside our house!! And yes, he did have his hearing aids in!

It is wonderful having friends that long. I've been able to reestablish friendships with people I've known since Kindergarten and First Grade. There is something wonderful in having friends you've known so long and how it can feel so natural talking with them again. I ran into a friend a couple of weeks ago who I've not seen in years and our paths haven't met up since I moved back home. We saw each other twice in that same week and the second time we talked for 30 minutes and could have talked for more! Lots of laughing is good for the soul!
