Train wreck on steroids at the moment.

@Picklebobble2 What's up???
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Musicman
1. I have a job that requires me to work two different roles as I'm trying to do the one I'm being paid for plus the Managerial role with different responsibilities that I'm not !

2. Trying to help my Mother overcome her reluctance to leave the house for more than a few minutes.
Doctors say it's not technically agoraphobia as she potters around the garden but still doesn't want to go out.

3. I have a spinal problem that may be complicated by a neurological condition but 14 months after surgery i have no further knowledge from Doctors; Surgeons; or Therapists either physical or psychological as to what is or has happened nor any drugs prescribed nor plan of action in place for me to follow.

And then there's all the other stuff.
Haven't seen family in three years due to all the above and covid related issues.
Haven't been able to travel far due to problems walking.
Can't keep up pension contributions because they keep changing the amount required and insurances related.

Bit of a mess

@Picklebobble2 It's good to see you after a long time. Hope problems get sorted out soon, steadily.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Picklebobble2 I am so sorry to hear that ☹️ Is there any chance of you getting the management job and maybe a raise?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Musicman Possible but the company is having trouble recruiting because it's main contract could expire in May if not renewed by the holder.
The holder currently refuses to say whether it intends to extend the contract because they themselves are awaiting news on whether the government will renew their grant that enables them to employ us.

And round and round we go.

@Picklebobble2 I have a friend who works under a government contract like that. He goes through this every three years.

@Musicman To be honest with things the way they are I'm not sure continuing in this line of work is either conducive to my health or worth the effort in terms of aggravation and loss of my own free time.

If it's just an income i need there are probably easier ways to earn it and i can walk away at the end of a shift and not take it with me.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Picklebobble2 Will you look for another job?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Musicman I'm awaiting information. Medical and financial.
If Doctors tell me it looks like a degenerative thing i'll have to plan for a new way of living let alone working.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Picklebobble2 I will definitely start praying for you 🙏🙏🙏
