Favourite Horror of all time??

As it's Halloween, what is your favourite horror film.

Halloween (1978) I hate that you have to put in a date next to it these days lol ( I'm a Halloween fan boy so love all of them, well apart from Season of the Witch) is my all time favourite, love everything about it.

Scream for me is a classic to. Reinvigorated the genre in the 90s.

Is Alien Sci-fi or Horror, for me, given the atmosphere I would class it closer to horror than sci-fi..

Thoughts??

@4thdimensiondream good choices. I would put Alien as a horror but Aliens as Sci fi.. deep impact id have more as action but I do like the film think it has a lot of critics but was a bit of fun. Poltergeist used to scare the life out of me, however, I did watch it far too young lol

@Caraxes I think Deep Impact is given 2 stars but it has some very realistic emotional parts. I love it. I understand about Alien v Aliens. I love some of the 50’s horror too especially those with Giant Monsters.

@HowtoDestroyAngels I waited 4 hrs on line on a snowy sidewalk in NYC to see the Exorcist. No movie has scared me more but it seems a lot less scary watching it today.
