I Hate Halloween

A ridiculous holiday where parents get their children to take food from strangers. And not only that, but if you don't have anything to give the kids, you're looked down upon.

*all the sighs in the world*.

And then there are halloween parties. Why is it that people between the ages of 35 and 45 feel the need to pretend that halloween parties are at all fun, with those ridiculous "halloween games" and the stupidly named food? Not only that, but they force their children to go as well, resulting in bored kids, and a group of embarrassing adults eating the burnt brownies Janet made. 🙄

And let's not even get into how massively weird it is for countries that are predominantly Christian to celebrate a Pagan holiday, because then we'd have to talk about the weirdness that is Christmas.

It's a tradition...
And you're not looked down on

And you're storing good will because
1) you may have children one day
2) those kids are going pay your social pension :)

Hehe

Some traditions aren't worth keeping (Actually most aren't but that's a story for another day).

Maybe not where you live, but where I am if kids (inevitably with a tired parent) knock on your door and you have nothing to give them, the best you're getting is a demonic glare from the parent and annoyance from the kids.

When I have kids, I'll just get them a costume (if they want one) and buy them the sweets they want outright because it'll end up costing the same as it would to get sweets for other kids and send my child to collect things they may or may not like from random strangers.

And finally, they're gonna pay that whether they like it or not, no good will needed there.

Wow... you defo have it all worked out
Good for you...

Maybe don't open the door and turn the porch light off

Sweets are cheap diabetes is not lol

And on the pension, I wouldn't be so sure if that... get into politics and rig the game
:)

@yeronlyman:

a) Don't have a porch (or a light outside my home)
b) And what if it's a friend? A delivery? Something worth my time?
c) Everything in moderation (Something Halloween doesn't lend itself to.)
d) So I didn't give you sweets and now you're going to RIG ALL OF POLITICS!!!

You, my friend, have a flair for the dramatic ;)
