Let’s take a moment to appreciate Marina Abramovic and her installation “Imponderabilia”. The original version was from 1977. Two naked people, a man and a women, stood in the narrow entrance to an art gallery so that visitors would to squeeze between them to enter. I believe she recorded much of it and turned it into a film. She repeated the installation in 2023. Fascinating ideas and of course much of the concept relates to how the gallery visitors reacted and behaved—and how that changed from the seventies until now.

Oh interesting! You can’t look and not want to know why they chose to face the one they did. My first thought was sexual preference, but I would face the man simply because I have always generally been more comfortable with men than women.

@JustNik Lots of different choices and reactions. Some didn’t enter. Some think it’s funny. Some think it’s awkward or unpleasant. Some acted rudely or tried to grope.

@Harmonium1923 Didn’t occur to me to just not go in. 😂 I hate hearing some people were yucky about it, but I imagine those brave souls were prepared for it.
