I read a funny article this week about this well known 1647 painting of a bull by Paulus Potter. Apparently scientific analysis has determined that the bull had much larger balls in the original version of the painting. The following images show the current version and an outline of the original one.
This painter was all about the livestock. He did a series of drawings and paintings on the theme of “Pissing Cow”, LOL. Here’s one from 1650.
