Why do some people have a problem with homebody people (BE HONEST)?

I am one and my friends get frustrated with me. I always decline when they haven't said the date yet they told me and I need to stop making excuses to not go places and try new things. My best friend even said I need to get out more and I spend too much time by myself. My guy friend says I'm weird for wanting to go to bed early on a weekend (Friday night or Saturday) and that's so lame. He said, "That's right I said it. You act old! Like a grandma! You're a 22 year old homebody that needs to get out and explore the world. It's weird that a 22 year old would be in bed by 9-10pm on a Friday or Saturday night. You act old. Live a little! You spend too much time by yourself."

People generally don’t like it when they have to maintain a relationship while you put in little to no effort.

And I’m answering your question based on the information provided. Obviously.

I’m saying it sounds like your friends are frustrated that their attempts at socializing with you are ineffective and not being reciprocated. If it’s who you are that’s fine, if you’re ok with it.
