What it mean of my doctor to call me fat?

I went to the doctor on Friday. My doctor is an "In Your Face" doctor. Like she will be on you and she is very strict. She got in my face flat out told me, "I have to be brutally blunt. You're fat. You are this close to diabetes, damn it! Lay off the junk food! Just lay off. You need to lose weight and your cutting is out of control. Stop that shit." I said, "I'm not fat! I'm just big boned." She said, "That's just an excuse. You are fat." I argued and said, "People are accepting bug girls! Also I-" she interrupted me and short back at me, "Unless you wanna keep making lame excuses and end up om the 600 pound life, I suggest you to care about your health." I couldn't say anything else. She really offended me and hurt me but she didn't care. I'm 5'3 and 266lbs. Was she right to call me fat? Doctors aren't suppose to body shame their patients. I don't know if I want to go back to that doctor. She is my primary care doctor unfortunately.

Guess she could have said you were too short for your weight. 🤔

@SensitiveGirl96 That's actually a good question though 225 is probably still too high at even those heights. Probably has something to do with the distribution of fat and stress on your body and internal organs. But a good question for your doctor.

@SensitiveGirl96 the simplest way to put it is because they have extra room for the weight. If that makes sense. Honestly just google why taller people can weigh more that short people

@SensitiveGirl96 their not less concerned. But for short people there are certain health weight ranges and for taller people there are different ranges. Doctors worry for all their patients health, no matter how tall or old they are.

@SensitiveGirl96 well it really just depends on where her fat is and how much of her weight is muscle. But she is right. You shouldn’t make excuses for your weight. I know how you feel, I was in you position before. I was over weight as a child but lost it all because I knew it wouldn’t Be good for my health. Now at 17 I’m at a perfect weight for my height and age. Excuses won’t get you anywhere expect a hospital bed. I know that brutally honest but truth hurts. You have to make better choices.
