Fourth Of July Doesn’t Seem Like It When It Rains….

We got a heavy rain in the morning yesterday, cloudy all day, sprinkles in the afternoon. Then right before dark it started raining again. I don’t know if the fireworks show went on as planned or they delayed it quite a bit. I did hear some pop-pop-pops and a few rockets in my block but only a few after the rain stopped. Will probably be setting them off tonight unless it’s raining again.

Awww, that's a shame. Are fireworks legal where you live?

@AbbeyRhode Not unless you get a permit. They have a big display at the park every year. But that doesn’t stop the young people from driving to another village where it’s legal to sell them and bringing back here and setting them off. They say the best time is when all of the cops are at the park. Now they are at a higher risk of getting caught. Last year me and the boy walked outside to see what we could from the park display and a drone was flying over us…probably a police or fire department drone. There were people a couple blocks away setting off Roman candles and rockets.

@cherokeepatti They legalized them in NJ, same time they legalized Marijuana. There's a winning combination, lol!

@AbbeyRhode yeah Roman candles-in-the-buttcrack type of entertainment for sure!
