Up at 2:20 am, continuing with Alison Larkin's perky voice reading Pride and Prejudice and the coffee is percolating, I gotta be finishing one book by the 14th and P&P will be it, the chapters are all short and sweet. I like Katie's Dickens ranking on Books and Things, her top 3 are Little Dorrit, Dombey and Son and Our Mutual Friend, so i'm doing those in that order, those are when Charles has complex 3 dimensional women characters.

There's a number of things i'm discovering can be good to do while listening, looking at maps, official lists, not my lists but lists made official by those who know what they're talking about. And 8 hour and more of driving videos, and city walking tours.

There's a grand mixture that can be divided into 2 groups fiction and non-fiction, but fiction is the behemoth i'd like to be more conversant with, and a list, my own list will be 100 novels that would land in any official list of 500 to 1000 of best classic novels of all time.

This is the most intense and rewarding escapism, and it's the main thing keeping me in an optimal frame of mind.

There's very little left imo for me to do here, this is a partial break, and I write here just to remind myself and anyone concerned that the noodle is ok, and getting through as best he can. I feel for those here going through tough things as I've seen recently, I am surely missing some things, and for all who are struggling, imy sincere wish is for things to be better soon.

Right after posting this, i'll pour my first mug of coffee and pretty much keep to myself with my wondrous arsenal of escapism and education, this reservoir of timelessness and taste and tasteability.
