I like it. A joyful month. My son was born in it. It is a month of people generally in good spirits. Giving spirits. Happiness and gratitude. It is the year wrapping up. Yes, it has finality. It also greets the official start of winter. It is nice to taste and to see the first snowflakes of winter. A clean blanket covers the earth. Each month has its joy. It is up to us to find it.
Regarding the statement of wanting time to pass slowly? Why? Are you fearing the future? Do you like where the present is right now? I am curious.

In my country (Morocco) it's not a festive month. If we were to celebrate it here I think I'd like December much more.
I always avoid thinking about the future because it's mysterious and not guaranteed. I immerse myself almost completely in the present because that's the only part of my life I can (somehow) control. I also dislike reminiscing about the past except for certain distant, happy times of my childhood.
I'm like, so yeah, another year is over. In a way, December is a yearly reminder of the impermanence of life itself.

@SW-User Wise thinking.
That's too bad. It must be strange that December is such a celebratory month for many other people.

@SW-User A fine response. Do you write? Ah, you think you can control the present. That is an illusion. The past is a reminiscing. The future is a dream. Could be good. Could be bad. No control. None whatsoever. What happens in Morocco in December? Are there some festivals? You are around midlife now. You have many decades left. I know you know how to live and to thrive. Blessings, Asmae.

Not strange at all. We have many tourists in Morocco from all over the world so it's familiar as you'd see Christmas trees in shops & malls. There are also special nights at bars & hotels etc. It's just not an occasion we locals celebrate with our own families. Personally, I like Christmas. When I was in Europe this time of the year I enjoyed the jovial atmosphere immensely. It felt whimsical there 🧚🏽♀️🎄

It's seen as just another month. We have other local celebrations at different times of the year. I meant that as in control the actions of a very tiny, transient part of the universe, which is myself. The reactions, however, are beyond me.
I only write occasionally when I'm in a pensive mood to express my overwhelming emotions and anchor my floating thoughts. Thank you 🤍@PoetryNEmotion

@SW-User I have always wanted to take a trip to Marakesh. I love the architecture there. Have you lived there all your life? Do you dress in a modern style?
I would love to read some of your creations.

Most of my life. I’m a city girl so I wear T-shirts, blouses, hoodies, jeans, leggings, dresses, skirts, jumpsuits and pretty much everything. On special occasions though, we cherish our own traditional clothes like kaftan & takchita 🇲🇦
