A 'Prom' at the Royal Albert Hall on 28th August, dedicated to French music, and which included Saint-Saëns' 'Organ' Symphony. It was somewhat different to hearing the same piece at home.
@peterlee No complaints! There were parts of the Saint-Saëns that I could feel as well as hear...the Albert Hall organ is pretty impressive.
Talking of acoustics, my parents used to take me to the RAH Proms when I was a kid, and one year some discs had appeared in the domed roof. These had been placed there for acoustic reasons, to get rid of some residual echo. I took this picture of the 'flying saucers', as I called them, on a more recent visit.
