Memorable Concert Moments.

Summer. 89' VA Beach, Virginia
A lifetime ago, Marshall Tucker Band in VA Beach at the Boathouse.
I was drinking beer in "the beer garden" (21+) and my wife, who was not 21 yet, was front and center stage enjoying some fine Southern Rock.
Doug Grey was into a set about life on the road, how a man can get lonely, (This Old Cowboy) and inviting random attractive ladies from the audience to join him after the show.
He focused on my wife, front row, center stage and motioned for her to come on up, or back, whatever the notion.
She made her way upon stage and i was interestingly amused and watched this unfold.
(The beer was cold and it must have been 90 degrees inside so, i just ordered another.
Just as she reached his hand, the spot where she Was standing, front row, center stage, a commotion broke out.
The big ceiling fan that was above, started wobbling and suddenly fell down towards the floor, as the crowd scattered, the band played on.
Luckily, no one was hurt, and security quickly roped off the area in question.
My wife returned to the audience section and I finished my beer and joined her.
Mentioning that was good timing 😌 🤪😎
I asked her what Doug had said to her on stage, and she said that he took that falling fan as an omen, noticing her diamond wedding ring. I laughed and smiled and kissed her madly, as "Can't You See,"
cued up.

Man what a great night for Music 🎶
and Love ❤️.

Aug 4th 1979 Knebworth - seeing Led Zeppelin with the huge crowd. It was reputedly 100,000 more that the 150,000 the venue had been licensed for. Best gig ever, narrowly beating Rush on their Clockwork Angels tour which was another near transcendental moment.

@OldBrit I saw Page & Plant in Madison Square Garden in 98. Amazing 👍❤️❤️😎🤘

@OldBrit I first saw Led Zep at the Bath Festival in 1970. In the early hours of the same day had been the world premiere of Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother, complete with brass ensemble and choir on stage.
Beautiful share. Now I wish the footage was from that night. I did my own search to see if I could find for you, but the search came back empty...... but your story shares such a beautiful story and memory, I imagine you remember the moment and the breath you had when she was taken on stage. ♥️

@thewindupbirdchronicles 😆 lol
I too searched for it.
And yes, i remember it as if yesterday, and it took my breath. 🥰😎🤗🤗
@Montanaman I knew you would have ♥️ Sometimes I wonder if those vivid and intimate details are better left within our breaths. 🥰✍️😘

@thewindupbirdchronicles i wonder also 👍🤗🤗❤️
Live music is the best!

@MirandaPanda Yes, it puts you right there, within the Singer's heart and voice, the guitars, the drums, becomes the blood, pumping from your heart, through your entire body.
You've never felt so Alive. 👍🤗❤️😎🌹
