Why is it called black week and black Friday? We asked the public

Black week is on. We all know what it means. Crazy consumers and fights in the stores. But why is it called Black Friday? We asked a few SW users about the origins.

@Dirtydadsy65 (Atlanta): "I reckon oils will spill extra on the roads as we all take our trucks to nearest city which is 12 miles away."

@WholyMolly008 (San Francisco) : "It means all black items are on sales, obviously."

@Shutshittr45 (Germany) "It means darkness is near, the more we consume the closer is the end of time"

@PrettyPegs21 (Australia) "It was supposed to be called green Friday for the sales, but the administration printed all the signs in black and white so they changed it to Black Friday realizing that it saves the ink. Cause ink is expensive innit?"

@Slushdasher432 (Iceland) "I think it's because many people buys black cats this typical season when it's dark and lonely, we all need a cute little void to survive the harsh winters"

@Charleschoices67 (UK) "They wanted to call it Magic Friday but that was taken by a Hippie collective. Then the old senior CEO of the mall heard the new suggestion "Bat Friday" since it's after Halloween.

But he heard so bad so he told the people above him that the new name is Black Friday. No one dares to say he heard wrong cause everyone who has implied he should retire , has gotten fired"
