What a day. I came home. Blessed myself with some pain medications which helped me dose off instantly and then woke up extremely depressed

And self-destructive. I managed to walk myself out of it by thinking how much love I have in my life. I went to shower and brush teeth to go back to bed but ate a giant amount of dessert instead.

Now I sit for bit then go wash my teeth again.

Being a woman is sometimes exhausting. I hate my period.

Yesterday my friend Eileen had a birthday. She is from Nigeria. She will go back to her country this year so it was also goodbye party. Her birthday wish was that women all over the world stop having periods because she was struggling with it at work. And I thought it is funny and we laughed at her.

But gad damn it she it right. It is impossible to work like this sometimes and so unfair how it treated like a normal thing to toughen up through it.

I am going to miss Eileen. She is amazing. Left her country, studied and worked here for 15 years. She had to go through the same things I did in Turkey and Canada. Work in other fields to feed herself and her family, while trying to stay afloat in medical school. And deal and hear all sorts of effing nonesense from humans who have it way easier. The ingratitude, the constant lies..etc She deserves better.

And I hope she does have it back home.

She says otherwise but I don't think she will comeback. Time will tell.

@SinlessOnslaught this is mental diarhea
@Miram Even your mental diarrhea is gold.
Is it only your cycle causing depression and self-destructive leanings today? Is anything else contributing to it, like Eileen leaving?

If you haven't already investigated it and ruled it out previously, I wonder if there is any type of hormonal birth control which would mitigate your menstrual symptoms, without exacerbating your other physical issues. If you haven't ruled it out I wonder if you could safely try some things and then just stop as soon as you notice they are having negative side effects for your own individual physiology (e.g., possible higher blood pressure worsening your tachycardia), without any negative side effect becoming acute abruptly and dangerously. But at the very least, in lieu of a non-chemical option you ought to be able to take off work when the menstrual symptoms make it unbearable to function productively.

I'm glad you've been able to know Eileen, and I'm sure she appreciates knowing you, especially because you've had similar experiences with having to pursue your goals in other countries, maybe that made it less stressful for her to know you could relate to that. I hope she'll be as much of an asset to her home community as you are in yours, and be appreciated for it.

I hope you feel recovered quickly 🤗🤗🤍

@SnickersDOM Love you so much.

There are many reasons why but the period aggravates those tendencies. No, it is not her departure. This is the month I lost lot of my people in the war. I rather that presepective shallow. Every year, this happens.

There is herb that helps me manage this mess but it is better not to be foraged until seasons. I have tried many things including several approaches and it is what worked best in the past. One thing I don't like though is that it makes me slower. I need my pace to keep up.

Feeling way better today! Thank you for always being incredibly supportive and loving. Hugs sent your way~
@Miram I'm glad you feel better, love you 🤗🤗🤍
