It’s my birthday and I haven’t really heard from anyone

Only like 5 people have said happy birthday to me and one of them I don’t even know. It’s now 6pm, haven’t heard from Mum or brother or any other family apart from 1 Aunty. Feeling a bit shit

Shame there weren't more of us closer to you who could have made it a special day.

I've found that the longer I've been out of regular contact with close Aunts/Uncles, etc, the less the occasions are remembered.
Perhaps it's the same in your case? How are your relationships with them?

Brothers/Sisters can be notorious for it also--depending on personality, how preoccupied they are with own lives, or how close you are.
