I Love Cake On My Birthday

Monday is my birthday and I admit seeing my age here move into the next up age bracket wasn't fun. I've gotten a couple presents and in lieu of eating healthier I've asked for A cupcake instead of a cake. A single serving will work for my fitness goals.
Getting older is just tough in many ways. I am now one of those dreaded "middle aged" people that seemed so far away when I was in my tender 20's. That's 20's girl still exists but better armed with maturity, learned smarts and life experiences.
I also know that I am better in so many ways even compared to my 30's. I have grown emotionally and improved my health and fitness and look forward to going into the next decade a much improved version of this self. I can't stop aging but I can be the best I can be. Life has it's challenges and it's sorrows and they will come no matter what. My attitude plays a big role in that so yes...46 is a number and I'll go with it.

Don't worry, whether MILF or Cougar now, it's better than when they start referring to you as granny, old, elderly, senior citizen, dirty old man :)

Expect your mail to reflect your new age category. At some point in my 70's, my mail volume shrank to near zero with only an occasional letter from cemetery salespersons. I've apparently grown past the target ages for hearing aid and viagra and now even mail from AARP is a rarity.

Speaking of AARP, you are now in their bullseye.

If we live healthy, 70 is the new 50 and 50 is the new 30. So if you don't smoke, or drink too much, and only eat one cupcake at a sitting welcome to the new 30's!

One of my favorite books is that book about "The Happiness Project". I believe there's a part about acting like you want to feel. I think it applies to age as well.

@Heartlander Wise words from a true gentlemen! I always take something from what you say...and yes lol. I had a friend of mine turn 50 last year and the AARP catalogue in his mail bugged him. We had a good laugh:) 馃

Haaaa .... I checked my mailbox earlier today and I had a singl piece of mail ... from AARP.

Wow! they hadn't written me off after all!

But when I took a closer look I discovered it was addressed to our adult daughter who who grew up and left home 25 years ago :(
