A very eventful August.

So the beginning of August I started my new job, hated it, there was too much drama there. I left after a week. Started an unpaid volunteer position at a charity, for exposure and to stay busy (I'm not altruistic). That went downhill quick as my social anxiety got the best of me. Within the four weeks that I was there (including this one), I had to take leaves to tend to my sick dad, then I got the common cold, and then I got the stomach flu. In total I have taken a whole week's worth of leaves in just one month.
Not a good image. The last time I informed them of my sick leave, they didn't even respond to the message.

I'm thinking now of dropping this completely and looking for a job.

Show up for work each day if you can. Even if you don’t enjoy it. Making the effort is a skill you can develop.

Some employers are more sympathetic than others regarding personal circumstances. Try to avoid opening up about them at work. Develop small talk. Just focus on work at work. Be helpful.

Turn up smart. Calm and relaxed. A smile costs nothing

As you develop these skills things will get easier. And you can move then to more enjoyable or challenging work which will further motivate you.

@peterlee smart, calm and relaxed. These are three traits I do not have.

Yeah that’s not a good look they may read that as being really irresponsible to your work duties/obligations
