The fields are incredible at this time of year. So much life everywhere. Wildflowers, bees, dragonflies, butterflies and millions of grasshoppers.
At first it seems so quiet, but once you tune in the insects you realize the place is vibrating with deafening sounds.
This place has a somewhat haunted feel about it, like all places that once were bustling with human activity. There was an orphanage here for almost 100 years. The graves of all the children who died here, as well as employees and clergy, were here where I walked.
Most of the remains were exhumed when the orphanage closed and were moved to a nearby cemetery. But supposedly there are still forgotten graves out there.
