Seeing the signs, on a personal level, i hereby collate the data, of what i see as the last epoch of book purchases the year 2023
In early 2023 there be Carl Gustav Jung - Tonight i decided on this, and in the sudden mental hype am reading some FREUD, there's 3 psychologists i want to collect, and the 3rd is Wilhelm Reich
March, April, May and June will be a potpourri of ancients, and intriguing authors one of which will be JAPANESE
July to the end of the year will be saving up for Vollmann's 7 volume opus
NOW, not all purchases will cease, these are merely the main ones, as i read and learn more, names and titles will magically appear to me, and some of what is under the aegis of my jurisdictional observational tower will call for secondary material. PLUS, with some authors covered there'll be further volumes in the future.
I just love to make a huge deal out of what would normally be a small deal.
Buying is itself an addiction, and in the years of not buying all the time, will be proved that there is a cure, that the cure worked, the cure that is what i've been doing since i started buying things, but definitively began when ordering, and a touchstone was getting a kindle. HUGE things imo. Preparation it's all been, preparing will by the end of next year largely come to a close, it will be the end of days in the real world, and in my bunker of solid eink tech, i'll be safe and sound.
In the reading epoch, where buying is minimal, where the mind will go, fills me with anticipation and reveries borne upon the wings of eagles, of dragons, of space shuttles!!!
It is then that i may be away for long periods of time, rumors will undoubtedly spread, but to my loyals, believe them not, i shall come with the clouds every so often with messages so sublime, they'd be mistaken as toilet paper commercials.
