Relentless wind, that didn't howl, ebb or flow; but screamed.
One tries to think how they'd respond in such a situation.
The go-to is to put panic in its place, and take charge. But no, this thing was beastly; it was in full control.
It's impossible to get a true sense of a CAT 5 hurricane from the safety of your living room,
via a few media sound bites.
But I came away with a reverent respect for their raw power, and the brave souls who endure, year after year.
