National Ding-a-Ling Day

December 12th is National Ding-a-Ling Day. It's a day we're encouraged "to reconnect with people we once talked to often". Specifically, we're supposed to give them a call if we haven't heard from them in a while.

It's a nice idea, I think, but I won't be doing that. Instead, I'm using the occasion as a reason to post Chuck Berry's popular cover of the Dave Bartholomew novelty song, "My Ding-a-Ling".

This is far from my favorite song recorded by Chuck Berry, but I did enjoy the video of his live 1972 performance at the Lanchester Arts Festival in Coventry, England. Both the audience and the rock and roll artist appeared to have a lot of fun with the song.

@Rutterman Life is a lot more complicated today than when we used to chat, that's for sure. I've had a few rough patches, but I'm surviving. I am living back on the Cape in my home town with my girlfriend, so all that is going really well. Work, on the other hand, is a whole other story. 🤷‍♀
