What do you think of the fact Tom Daily was knitting at the Olympics?

Knitting is not quite as good as crotchet but is a useful lifeskill and it's always reassuring to me when I see the upcoming generation doing sensible useful things.

However it is a bit gender incongruous for a male to do this. I know he is a homosexual so that might go some way to explain why he was doing this but when you weigh that up with the fact there was a female who won a medal for doing something on a BMX it makes me wonder if there is an concerted effort to undermine traditional gender roles in this country.
