Behind these company owners' waffle lies only one point: to reduce the costs to massively increase the profits hence their own and the Wall Street spivs' wealth - and to Hell with the livelihoods of thousands of their employees.

How many of the "middle managers" are actually technical, not administrative, people, so how much damage will be done to the service the companies supposedly sell! By damage I include not only changes and maintenance but also flushing out and breaking malevolent accounts.
