Has the BBC News gone too left wing?

Here’s how their position has changed on reporting climate change.

(Edit:. Jeez, I only posted this as a bit of fun and found myself branded as a swivel-eyed, right-wing, fascist maniac.)

So reporting on the weather is now synonymous with being left wing?

WTF is the matter with you people🤦‍♂️

@room101 They don't like to hear that their beloved rightwingism has f*cked the world's climate beyond recovery.

We're like at the early stages of covid, they're convincing themselves it's nothing and they'll keep pretending it's nothing even when a flood or a forest fire will have demolished their house. Blaming, I dunno, immigrants, the deep state, HAARP or whatever. Just like when they were immolating themselves to COVID to "own the libs".

@Elessar Come on Darwin, we need you right now. These nutjobs should have mutated to oblivion long ago.

@room101 She does have a point... Temperatures in the 20-25 range would normally be called "Summer" - but now they're calling them "heat waves" and issuing warnings on them.

What’s going to happen when we get another 40+ day and no one listens to the warnings because they're issued every time the Met even thinks the sun might shine???

@HootyTheNightOwl I don't know what's the average for Germany in late June, but down here this year we were consistently around or even above 40°C when it should normally be well below 30°.

If that ain't worth being called a heatwave I don't know what is.
@Elessar So, given that we've had temperatures in the 30's and 40's this year... you still want them calling temperatures in the 20's "heatwave"???

We're getting higher average temperatures, so the brackets for heatwaves needs to adjust accordingly. 25 and 26 degrees don't really feel that hot anymore...

@Elessar Love it. I am stealing this one. 😅

@Elessar Their latest boogeyman is the WEF.

@HootyTheNightOwl No, "she" has no point whatsoever. 👋👋👋
@room101 I admit that there's no point in bringing politics into it - but she's right in that the criteria needs reviewing to cope better with hot weather... along with policy.

You can try to invalidate my view as much as you want - but, it doesn't make it any less truthful and valid. If you're that much of a snowflake, I suggest that you do us both a favour and block me.

@chrisCA I stole it too, that is hilarious 🤣

@HootyTheNightOwl It seems that your whole point is the "cry wolf" argument. That being the case, try to remember the story. The boy cried wolf when there were no wolves present..........until there were. At which point, it was too bloody late.

If you honestly believe that we are not experiencing climate change, if you honestly believe that much of that climate change is caused by humans, if you honestly believe that we humans can't do anything to mitigate the impact that we are having on our climate and our environment in general then, I don't need to do anything to invalidate your view because your view is indeed invalid.
