The Catholics and the various Protestant sects said the same about each other in Europe. Those religious wars included the Eighty Years War and the Thirty Years War.
The Thirty Years War alone with its associated disease and famine wiped out about 20% of the population of Europe. You would have thought Europe had learned a little religious tolerance over the last two centuries, but I guess some missed the lesson. SAD!
