The problem with people second guessing professionals from their armchairs is that they actually vote on hiring the folks who hire the professionals and those folks listen to them.

@hippyjoe1955 The internal logic of that argument is flawed. If we accept the ark building story as factual then, a: we do not know what Noah's profession was. He may or may not have been a professional boat builder. And, b: he was divinely guided in his boat building so that puts him in a unique category.

@sben4200 So how many sea worthy huge ships had been built before Noah's time? And yes the story is true. Regardless of his talent he was untrained in ship building. The people who built the Titanic had formal training and experience is building ships. They could draw on centuries of experience. Other than its size there was nothing unique about the Titanic.
