ANNOUNCEMENT - ⚽️THE CRYSTAL FOOTBALL🔮 EURO2021 PREDICTION GAME [I Travel Around Europe]

Starting tomorrow!! 🤩

Every day until the end of the Euro 2021 tournament, @adorbz and @SW-User will make a post where you can predict the next day’s results.

Once the results are in, you will get 3 points if you got the score exactly right and 1 point if you got the correct result (ie which team won) but the wrong score. And that’s all you have to do!

Your points will go onto a leaderboard (which you’ll be able to view) and the TOP 3 overall will receive personalised prizes for them to proudly display on their profile! 😍

But it isn’t just the top 3 who get prizes! There will be checkpoint gifts too... everyone who reaches 6 points will get a SW gift which will be revealed over time as people earn them 😍 so even if there are football psychics far ahead of you, there are still prizes to be won by playing!

@EuphoricTurtle Oh yeah, I remember that one... because the players were afraid to be shot if they won or drew the next round. That wasn't so long ago, couple of years but not so long.

@SW-User If I remember it correctly, the next team they would face off if they won was favored by a big mobster network and they were afraid for the consequences if something went wrong for the other team.

Remeber Andrés Escobar in 1994, he made an own goal as a colombian in the world cup and Colombia had too leave the tournament, and the drug cartels shot him up.

@Kwek00 I think a lot of the military factions involved in the break up of Yugoslavia had roots in football hooligan gangs.

@SW-User I don't know that... I just know that football spawns a lot of tribalism. I think it's totally stupid, but it's also one of the tribal tendencies that I'm aware of with myself that I let myself indulge in knowing full well how incredibly stupid it is.

@SW-User Human beings still have a tribalistic tendency, and since we are trying to keep it out of politics it just gets reincarnated in sports. As long as people don't kill eachother over sports, then I don't mind it that this particulair part of humanity also gets a place in that field. But it's so easy to loose yourself in it, that it still stays a really dangerous thing.

@Kwek00 I used to go to football matches most weeks till I was 18, and I've hardly been since. As a teenager in the late 70s/early 80s football hooliganism was always nearby. I managed to just about avoid getting involved, but I can see how a small group can get a big crowd involved, especially when there is a lot of alcohol involved.
