I Am European

The new Europeans according to National Geographic. A blatant call for ethnic substitution. Should we accept it?

Yes, we're all human beings and there is nothing wrong with sharing a continent with others.

It has always been 'shared'.Europe has never been 100% white. To me this cover is not about sharing. It is about substitution. They are the new Europeans, so the old ones must disappear.

Why must the old ones disappear? As long as the earth can support them, why can't immigrants just be added to the population? (In fact I believe that is what already happens.)
Cierzo · M
@Plobey: They can be added if they are willing to adapt to the hosting country. No problem at all.
If the picture would show kids of different races, I would thing it is about adding. When the 'new' Europeans are mostly adult and elderly people of not European origin, I know they are talking about replacement

That's a good point. But I don't think the picture is representative. At first both races will live there. Only after many generations of reproducing with each other, the "original European race" will gradually disappear, but so will the immigrant races. They will then be replaced by people with ancestors of multiple races and that has happened for millennia. That's what made the "original European race" the way it is, so nobody should be unhappy with that.

@Plobey: As I answered to another user, to grasp the full intention of the picture the article must be read entirely. I post the link in my answer to him. Nevertheless the picture is shocking and controversial, and not in a good way.
It is not only race that matters. It is culture too. This is what is under a serious risk of disappearing.
