Mufon Case 148503
This is my latest MUFON CAG case, #148503.
This occurred around August 10th, 2025 but was not reported until August 10th of this year.
The person that reported this case says that she could not reporr it earlier because something inside her mind kept saying, "Don’t think about it?"
L (age 55) and D (age 63) met while serving in the US Navy. L was a hydraulic structural mechanic and served from 1989 until their daughter was born in 1994. D was a flight engineer aboard P3 Orion aircraft from 1985 to 2006. The Lockheed P-3 Orion is a four-engine turboprop aircraft built for anti-submarine warfare, maritime surveillance, and scientific research. So, they both are quite familiar with what an aircraft is.
I interviewed them both on August 24th at 18:30.
They live outside of suburb NE of Nashville, TN called Lebanon. Their residence is surrounded by forest.
In L's own words,"I had been asleep when suddenly I found myself standing outside on the back porch with no memory of going outside. I looked to my left and saw craft sitting on the ground by a trailer about 60 to 75 feet away. I ran into the house and screamed to my husband to get out of bed (" Get out here, get out here, get out here!") and he ran out behind me. He said “What the hell is that!” I said I don’t know. He said it’s not an airplane because we are both prior Navy mechanics. We heard no noise (there also was no noises from or bugs) and saw just the windows. It lifted up off of the ground and I could see that the top was flat because you could see the lights from the city of Lebanon behind it. It rose quietly in the air to treetop level and went behind the trees and vanished. I brought my phone outside and took pictures but I didn’t see anything on it." D said it was cylindrical in shape , it did not have any wings and the bottom was also flat. It was dark colored and had rectangular windows lit with white light on the inside. It was only moving at around 5 knots. They both said that they could se the figure of a person silhouetted in the window watching them and shadows of others inside the craft but could not make out any details of what they looked like or what they were wearing.
After that they both went back to bed and fell asleep with something in their minds saying, "Don’t think about it."
There was no wind and the sky was dark. They have an older dog but it slept through it all. She figures it was 2:00 AM when she woke up and has been waking up at 2:00 AM every night since. She was too scared to go to the spot to look for evidence but D says he found none. Shortly afterwards they had 15 deer laying on the sight of the landing.
When she told the kids they told her she was nuts until D told them that he had also saw it and they were shocked.
There was an unused nuclear plant in Hartsville that is only ten miles away that is now undergoing demolition. The Hartsville Nuclear Plant was a canceled Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) project in Trousdale County, Tennessee. Construction began in 1975 to build four reactors, but the project was halted and officially canceled by 1984 due to soaring costs and dropping power demand. Its iconic 540-foot cooling tower was demolished via a controlled implosion on September 18, 2025.
I have requested a map showing where the object was viewed and the direction it went. I also want both of them to draw pictures of the object and estimate it's size.
