Mufon Case 146855

In 2000 on June 22, Duluth,MN Saint Mary's hospital sterilization process tech Tim Hakala was driving home to Barnum MN after getting off at 11:30 PM. He was just passing under the midway bridge by Esko, MN and was admiring the stars in the clear night sky when a bright spinning silver sphere crossed the road in front of him. He was going 70 mph on 35W. At that location the road is east-west so the object was moving north to south. As he approached the object he noticed that it was dripping a silvery liquid metal teardrop. The surface of the sphere was rippled. The teardrop fell to the base of three big pine trees. A second drip hit the branches of the tree and sprayed out but remained glowing as it fell. He watched it continue to head south. No other cars were on the road. He did not stop but when he got home he was 30 minutes later than usual.
